Vinyl Designer
Vinyl Designer lays out your record for you. Choose a 7", 10" or 12" disc, pick a label look from the built-in templates, then add your artist name, title and catalogue number. When it looks right, export a square, portrait or landscape image.
Runs in your browser, free, with no sign-up. A desktop app is coming soon.
What you make
The 11 built-in templates are mostly promo-pressing styles: a white label carrying artist, catalogue number and track list; a yellow house-music label; a silver radio-copy stamp; a blank white label with a single question mark. Apply one and it keeps your current canvas size, so you only change the text and the artwork.
Built-in templates
Save a look of your own as a template, search your saved ones, and move them between machines as .zip bundles with their images embedded.
How it works
Open the Templates page and apply one of the 11 built-in layouts, or start from the default: a black 12" record on a 1080x1080 canvas. Then set the disc up - size, solid colour, one of 62 vinyl textures or a full-disc image, and the centre label.
Text, shapes, icons and images all go on as layers. Click to select, drag to move, drag a corner to resize, double-click text to edit it in place. Each line of text can sit on the record and turn with it, sit over the record, or stay fixed on the canvas.
Choose a size and a format, then export. The centre canvas is a live preview drawn by the same renderer as the export, so the file you get is the layout you were looking at.
In the editor
Controls on the left, the canvas in the middle, the selected layer's properties on the right, and your layers along the bottom.
Formats and sizes
Export a still image as PNG, JPEG or WebP. Animated GIF export is offered when your background is an animated GIF: the whole mockup is re-rendered for every frame and the source timing is kept.
Presets
Local by default
There is no account and nothing to sign up for. The disc, the text and the finished image are all drawn on your own machine, and the fonts and textures ship with the app rather than being fetched while you work.
